Until his untimely death, Orfega was the Manager of Second Pot Restaurant, located along Lobito Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja.
It was gathered that he allegedly got a loan facility to fund his business.
However, he fell into depression after making unsuccessful efforts to repay the loan.
Orfega was found dead in his private room at a hotel in Garki on October 31, 2023, after drinking a harmful substance suspected to be sniper.
His friend, Mercy Akwari admitted Orfega once told her that he was battling depression but she didn't take it seriously.
The deceased was laid to rest in his hometown in Kwande Local Government Area of Benue on November 4, 2023.
Meanwhile, friends and acquaintances have taken to social media to mourn him.
In a Facebook post on, one Zaki Maaver asked the deceased's elder brother, Richard Terver, not to blame himself as he tried his best to help Orfega but he "made his choice"
"Today, I'll like to celebrate you my darling Cousin Richard Terver You stood by Orfega all through, you suffered so many things; Arrests, Harassments, Insults, Accidents, sleeplessness and lots More! You are not perfect but you tried your best as an elder Brother but Orfega Terver made his choice at the end of the day; please stop blaming yourself for not doing more. To me, You are THE WORLD'S BEST SIBLING and I want you to know that I Love you so much and I am very proud of you. You've been proving strong Man all these while but I know how hurtful you feel29-year-old Nigerian man commits suicide over inability to repay business loan and the pains you are trying so hard to hide(not easy carrying your lifeless sibling on your shoulders from a story building after pleading with him not to carry out his plan. May God bless you dearest Ngutor and I pray He alone consoled you and I pray He raises Men and Women to Champion your Course when you need them mostly in Jesus' Name Amen. Rest peacefully dearest Orfega. We'll all Miss you."

Too sad news. People battling depression need help. Don't take it for granted anytime they say it. Only a Living soul can pay debts.

If only he could understand that. There's a different way depressed people think. And the more people who understand this, the better we can help depressed people.
I just saw a gory video on twitter of a lady who bled to death in front of people simply because they didn't know they had to put pressure on wound and stop the bleeding as first aid.
Same way, there are first aids to depressed and suicidal people. And I'm sorry to disappoint everyone: saying SUICIDE IS NOT THE ANSWER just doesn't hit home.
There's got to be a better word. One that will hit home. Things like: things to be grateful for already. Things to live for.

You are right but in this case I don't think those words would have helped as he already had suicidal thoughts, anyone who could think of ending it all will likely stop if and only if a solution is provided to their predicament, I also saw a video about last two months of an old man about to jump in a lake and commit suicide, passerbys or friends as reported were encouraging him on why he shouldn't kill himself, but at the end he jumped, also a police officer was sent to stop someone from commiting suicide, he met him and told him to state just two reasons he wanted to end it and he will give him ten reasons why he shouldn't, after telling him why, at the end both committed suicide, the police officer was also suffering from depression. That is why at that point I don't encourage anyone to motivate or give them hope as they have made up their mind at that point, but rather tell them the solutions to their problems or possibly helping them out
