I remember in the heat of the cash scarcity, the POS operators charged as high as 30%, like 3k on 10k. It was so agonising. While many people cried out for the exhortation charged likened to extortion, who could really blame these guys? Did we know the length they went to secure the cash they paid out? Some slept overnight at ATMs just to get cash.
But seems things are better now. I asked a lady POS operator recently how much she's now charging on 10k. To my amazement, she said N200. That's relieving.
