I once did lots of affiliate marketing. For Jumia, Konga and foreign companies like Amazon, Aliexpress and many of them. But I must confess, I never made anything out of them. I eventually got tired and dumped them all. I gave up.

At some point I concluded that these companies were not transparent. Yet, it seems people's claims were different.

Here and there we see people claiming they made thousands from affiliate marketing. Was I doing it wrong?

Was I impatient? Or was I expecting too much?

Is affiliate marketing still working these days? Or its the era of dropshipping?

Dropshipping seems to be a more reliable and trabsparsystem where you have almost all the controls.

If I should retry any, I will go for dripshipping.

Dropshipping business is like online middleman business.

You intermediate between manufacturers and final buyers without necessarily seeing the goods.

What is your experience with both affiliate marketing and dropshipping?

I don't know much about affiliate marketing. But ladies these days do sell online and on WhatsApp. They take orders and payments and order the goods and ship directly to buyers. That's the dropshipping they do online.
