Which is best: Fixed Deposits, Treasury Bills And FGN Bonds?

Hi guys. Pls pardon me, am a novice. I have little money I want to invest for long time. I dont need it till after a year, and I dont have the time and resources to do a business actively.
And I dont want to just keep the money in a bank savings account doing nothing. But I want the best returns too. So someone told me I could do fixed deposits, or treasury bils, or govt bonds. I need someone to explain each for me, and the returns I can get, and the best option.
Ideas please.
