Mistakes are good teachers. How good it would be if we could share experiences and in so doing, protect others from making same errors? Use general terms are share with us so we learn.
For me, I once invested in something I didn't know much about and I lost my life savings.
Rule of investing: do not invest in what you don't know.

Sorry about your experience. You sure are a better investor now.
I once underestimated the power of emergency savings, until I had an emergency. Since then, I learned my lesson.

Overspending
