An unbalanced view: Money is / isn't everything?

Money is very important. Even the Holy Book acknowledges it's importance. Money is useful. The lack of it leads to a condition called being POOR. Whereas an abundance of it leads to an opposite situation called being RICH.
The usefulness of money is limitless, in this realm. Money can be used to satisfy all human needs: food, shelter and clothing. Money will improve health and wellness, standard of living and wellbeing. Money will satisfy unlimited wants. Money.
A lack of it makes many people do evils.
Yet, the love of it is regarded as the root of all evils.
Now, how can we have a balanced view of this necessary 'evil?'
