Talking of the major reasons why many friendships, marriages and homes break apart, financial issues rank among the top ones.
"The topic of money is not always welcomed in our household because every time it came up, my parents got into a fight." - recalls a close associate.
This is very common in our community today. Little wonder so many of us are disconnected when talking about our finances, especially with our family members, even spouses. But research shows that people who talked about money at home or with people in their lives who matter while growing up didn’t have to struggle as much with impulse buying or excessive debts.
