Africa is one of the 7 world continents. It is our continent and Nigeria is Africa's largest country in terms of size and population. Africa is the world's 2nd-largest and 2nd-most populous continent, after Asia in both population and land-size aspects. With about 30.3 million km² including adjacent islands, it covers 20% of Earth's land size area and 6% of its total surface land area. With 1.4 billion people as of 2021, Africa accounts for about 18% of the world's people population.

Nigeria is Africa's most populous nation. With over 200 million population, Africa leads all other nations in both population and land area size. Next to Nigeria is Ethiopia, with about just half of Nigeria's population size, South Africa has about a quarter of Nigeria's population - (60 million) population, while neighboring Ghana has just above 30 million people.

Nigeria is undoubtedly the giant of Africa. Yet, sadly, smaller countries like SA and Ghana have better economy as implied in currency strengths exchange rates against the US Dollar.

12.00 Ghanaian Cedi = 1 USD
18.50 South African Rand = 1 USD, but
903.89 Nigerian Naira = 1 USD.

Very sad and disappointing,

What is the way forward?

Thanks for the post. Lagos alone is larger than most African countries.

The article is really educative. I plan on travelling the whole Africa in future.

Added after 1 minute 37 seconds:
Also, it's seriously discouraging that the Giant of Africa, Nigerian currency (Naira) is of a lesser and poorer value to other currencies in Africa.

Truth be told I don't think there's any way forward for the naira, until the federal government stop relying on foreign countries for literally everything (which they won't stop anytime soon), the naira will keep losing to the dollar
When money realizes that it is in good hands, it wants to stay and multiply in those hands 🤲💸💵💰

My allegations to them is that: IT ALL LOOKS DELIBERATE.

So sad.
