Do you by any chance recognise this object? What's it called in your land? What's it used for? Have you ever owned one? What lessons does it teach?
You have the floor.

This is a piggy bank

It's called "KOLO" here. I think the name is general. I owned one when I was a kid. My parents used it to teach me how to save. That was indeed a great lesson.
This is the time of the year that the bank usually opens.
No account maintenance charges.
No stamp duty

No network wahala
I had one 2 years ago. I was putting N100 notes in it daily.
This bank can be stolen

One of my childhood friends was a victim. Maybe it's a piggy heist in the making!

This is a rich experience. Thanks for sharing.
It's called Kóló and made of clay. Oyinbo people have their own made look like pig. But nothing compares with the real Kóló.
Meanwhile, PiggyHeist, that's a new one, sir

Well, I observe it to be a saving kit used or maybe modelled during precolonial time in Nigeria. I don't know the name in my dialect but I know we use Saving box made with either wood or steel.
As for the benefit, one can save or store it's money there without direct access to it till for the duration determined by the owner or the owner suddenly decides to break/destroy the box.

Its not a native version of piggy bank. It is THE ORIGINAL PIGGY BANK!
The oyinbo piggy bank is a copy cat of our Kolo.
Thank you.
