Azaland was founded in 2022 to fill a gap identified in our global community.

Research shows that only 1 in 3 people globally is financially literate. The stats are worse in Africa,. Experiences equally show that many graduates today join the job market after obtaining their exotic degrees but lacking the necessary financial skills, education and orientations to make one of the most important classes of decisions in life: Financial Decisions.

Imagine graduating from a hypothetical Fishing School after several years of studies and then being sent out to fish in the wide ocean. You're equipped with all the necessary fishing nets, boats and tools to catch live fresh fish but you're lacking the knowhow of managing, storing and keeping the fish caught alive and fresh.

A large percentage of graduates join the job market to make money. If money management skills are lacking in the mix, these graduates will not only get used and dumped by capitalist employers, they will experience wasted years owing to poor financial decisions.

Azàland was born out of this critical need to promote more awareness about this underlying need; the need to advocate for financial literacy even if the people don't know how important it is.

To sensitize and educate more people to understand money better and manage their finances wisely towards a lifetime of informed financial decisions.​

To impact our community to become a place where more and more people become more financially literate, improve their overall quality of life, increase productivity, positively impact national GDP and find overall life fulfilment.

To achieve these, we have taken advantage of this digital community-driven platform as the foundation and starting point. We hope to impact more lives and expand our horizons both digitally and physically in the communities. We seek to collaborate with the right organisations, schools, bodies and even governments to achieve our goals.

We also invite volunteer industry experts (bankers, financial experts, accountants, economists, journalists and others) as instructors to help our teeming benefiting participants.
