I'm Jared, the founder and a coordinator here.
Our community's goal is towards improved financial literacy for everyone. We prioritize useful contents and discussions bothering on financial literacy, money making, banking, personal finance, blockchain, blockchain, Decentralized Finance (DeFi), entrepreneurship, investments, FX, financial news, local, national and global economic trends and all other related stuffs.
The Azaland community is an integral part of The Azaland Project- a Global Financial Literacy Advocacy Movement. We're on a mission to reduce the level of financial illiteracy in the world, starting with Africa as focus. Research revealed that only 1 in 3 people in Africa is financially literate. That calls for action and emergency.
As you could guess, my passion and preference for the finance related niche is due to my age-long professional experience in finance practice as well as related certifications already bagged and some in view. I must confess, I have also made some personal finance errors in the course of my career which have taught me great lessons. I deeply desire that no person falls into such pits before being aware - hence my desire to build this platform to reach people.

Sadly, the level of true financial literacy in our society is quite low. Azàland was born out of the identified critical need to promote more awareness about this underlying need; the need to advocate for financial literacy even if the people don't know how important it is.
